What is the easiest/best way to relocate a cable wire in my home?

I have a cable wire coming up through the floor about 1 foot from the wall in my Living Room from the Basement. I am getting ready to put down laminate hardwoods, and cannot have a wire coming through the floor. What do I need to do in order to be able to relocate the wire to the wall and place a cable co-axle plate on it?

measure the exact distance from the center of the existing hole in the floor to the wall and add one inch to this if you have 3/8 sheetrock or less if you have 1/2 or 5/8 sheetrock add 11/4 inch..(this will alow you to be almost in the center of the wall considering the sheetrock thickness …drill a 1/2 inch hole here….cut out hole big enough for an old work box…this is a plastic box that will either have wings on it to hold it to the sheetrock or will be able to be screwed directly to the sheetrock…push cable through hole and pull it through hole where box goes…put it in box and mount box in hole…use a face plate that has a connector on it and connect cable to back side…put cover on and attach an extension cable from box to tv…now enjoy your handywork……not a hard job but your measuring must be very good….
