Samsung has always emphasized on good quality camera phones. And now they have arrived with a handset that has whooping 12MP camera with a resolution of 4000×3000 pixels. What else would one expect from a mobile phone? Without a doubt, it clicks snaps to look out for. Not only this, it has a wide 28mm lens. The inbuilt camera is fully equipped with regular camera features including Auto focus, Xenon flash, LED flash, Variable aperture,Ttracking touch auto focus, Smart Auto mode and wide dynamic range. There is face, smile and blink detection, image stabilization, beauty shot and Geo-tagging.
You can record videos at and there is a secondary camera for video calling and self portrait. Outcome is astonishing in a positive sense. You can’t expect for more from a mobile phone. The quality of pictures taken is like those clicked with a regular and in many cases. Auto Smart lets you take take pictures without worrying about settings one after another. Once you turn off the picture preview, one can take pictures at a very high speed. There are many functions to edit pictures like adjusting brightness and contrast. Also you can draw on your photos.
Samsung M8910 Pixon12 is a world roaming phone which operates on quad band. It’ll work in almost all parts of the world. Its a touchscreen phone with AMOLED resistive touchscreen of resolution 480 x 800 pixels, display of 3.1 inches with 16M colours. Weight of this gadget is 120 g and it feels nice when held in hand. You’ll feel as if it has been designed keeping your palm in mind.
Though it has an internal memory of just 150 MB, not enough to for a 12MP camera phone; it is expandable upto 16GB using a microSD card. A 2GB card is supplied with the handset free of cost. Interface is good and is more than just a menu. You can drag and organize any number of widgets on up to three homescreens. One can store thumbnails of your bookmarked internet sites on the homescreen for easy access. The screen offers deep and vivid colours and is responsive too.
Bluetooth’s performance is really good and has good connectivity. With the messaging icon located on the left bottom, its easier to access and reply to messages. This handset supports GPRS with EDGE and Wi-Fi. Emailing is also easy with this Samsung variant. There is a media player that supports MP3/MP4 music format, Google Maps, GPS, communities to give the individual one touch access to their favorite social networking sites. Its a good mobile phone for those who want their camera and phone together in one.
